On Sunday, March 11, at 3:00 p.m., Krannert Center will present a very special, invitation-only concert by the Staatskapelle Weimar in the Center's world-renowned Foellinger Great Hall. As part of Krannert Center’s commitment to breaking down the barriers to explorations of classical music, and as a celebration of the enthusiasm of students of all ages for classical music, this outstanding performance will be presented FREE OF CHARGE for students from middle school through graduate school and their accompanying parents, teachers, and mentors. The Staatskapelle Weimar will perform Brahms' Academic Festival Overture, Op. 80; Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 77; and Symphony No. 1 in C Minor, Op. 68.

This exclusive free event will serve as a celebratory encore to the orchestra’s performance for the general public on Saturday, March 10. (Tickets for the March 10 public performance can be purchased now. Prices range from $10 to $47.)
Tickets that are requested and then unused can prevent other students from attending. For this reason, we ask that you request only what you know you can use. The maximum number of tickets that can be requested at one time is 20. If you request 20 and find you can use them all, you are welcome to request additional tickets.
If you find you cannot use your tickets, please return them to the Ticket Office at your earliest convenience, in order to allow others to attend the concert.
