Performance/Talk: "Art in the Age of Information" with Stephen Taylor is March 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Third floor lecture hall, Levis Faculty Center (919 West Illinois Street, Urbana, IL). Stephen Taylor, Professor of Music at the University of Illinois, will present his recent, data-inspired pieces for instruments and electronics, featuring performances by Christopher Anderson (DMA University of Illinois) and Kenneth Thompkins (Detroit Symphony).
IPRH Prizes for Research in the Humanities nominations are due by March 12 at 5:00 p.m. The IPRH Prizes for Research in the Humanities celebrate excellence in humanities scholarship, and submissions and nominations are sought for the 2017–18 academic year. These prizes recognize outstanding humanities research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with awards given at the undergraduate, graduate, and faculty levels. Submissions are invited from scholars in all sectors of the university with a focus on the humanities and humanities-inflected research.
