Dinner with 'The Storyteller' is Thursday, March 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Native American House, 1206 W Nevada St. Urbana. Enjoy an evening with 'The Storyteller' with a free dinner. Storytelling is a central part of Native American education informing us of our role and place as human beings. We will eat, visit, and listen to some storytelling.
About 'The Storyteller': SleepyEye LaFromboise (Tonawanda Seneca/Sisseton Wahpeton Dakota) travels extensively with his work centering on Native American tribal youth empowerment through cultural and spiritual sustainment. He has been a member of the United National Intertribal Youth, Inc. (UNITY) for over 20 years and is also the Fire Keeper for the organization. Through an empowerment lens, he applies storytelling through song, prayer, and teaching tool for all. This event is co-Sponsored by Spurlock Museum.
