High-achieving freshman and sophomore students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are among students at only 12 universities nationwide eligible to apply for the Cargill Global Scholars Program.
The Cargill Global Scholars Program annually awards ten scholarships to students in fields including: Agriculture (and related fields), Biochemistry, Biology, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Food Science, International Relations, Political Science and Public Policy. Cargill Global Scholars receive an annual scholarship award of $2,500 for up to two years, participate in a fully-funded three-day leadership seminar during the first year of the program and a fully funded Global Leadership Seminar to be held at one of Cargill’s global locations during the second year of the program, and are paired with a Cargill leader who will serve as a mentor.

On January 24, Stacey Chapple, Program Specialist with the Cargill Global Scholars Program Team, will be visiting our campus to share more information about this opportunity. The National and International Scholarship Program will be holding an information session from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m., and students will also hear from a former Illini Cargill Global Scholar.
