Nominate your favorite CHP Professor for the Broadrick-Allen Award - deadline 4/12/19
The King Broadrick-Allen Award is given annually to a CHP faculty member who makes an extraordinary contribution to the well-being of Chancellor's Scholars and the development and energy of the Campus Honors Program. Previous winners are faculty members who have gone above and beyond in the classroom, in mentoring and counseling students, and supporting CHP projects and special events. These recipients include David Ruzic, Sarah Wisseman, Michael Plewa, Darrel Kesler, James Kaler, Graham Evans, Kimiko Gunji, Richard Burkhardt, Tom Schleis, Bob Skirvin, Zohreh Sullivan, Jim Warfield, Michael Loui, Bruce Fouke, Andrew Isserman, Robin Douglas, George Francis, Bruce Michelson, Paul Diehl, Carol Spindel, Jennifer Gunji-Ballsrud, and Mark Micale.
To nominate a faculty member for this year’s Broadrick-Allen Award, please send a letter of nomination and tell us exactly why you think this faculty member deserves this year's award. The winner will be announced at the CHP Graduation ceremony. Nominations are open for the CHP Calvin Ke Award - nomination deadline 4/12/19
The Calvin Ke Award, established by the parents of a wonderful CHP student to honor his memory and the ideals he lived by, recognizes a graduating Chancellor's Scholar for exemplifying the values of the Campus Honors Program. Winners of this award have been standouts in creating a community in the Honors House, in helping the program with service and social programs, and in representing us to the larger community. The recipient of the Calvin Ke Award receives an engraved marble and bronze commemoration, permanent listing on the plaque in the Honors House Lounge, and a cash prize.
We need to hear from you about students whom you think have provided this kind of leadership. If you have someone in mind, please send a letter of nomination and tell us as much as you can about the merits of your nominee. The awardee will be announced at the CHP Graduation ceremony.
