  New Undergraduate Research Opportunity in Respiratory Infectious Disease Research

  The laboratory of Dr. Elizabeth Driskell in the Department of Pathobiology is offering an opportunity for an undergraduate to work on a research project related to host-viral interactions in the respiratory tract and/or development of a rapid diagnostic platform for viral respiratory disease. The position is unpaid. Students are eligible for elective course credit. 

  • Requirements:

    • Sophomore or junior standing in fall semester 2015
    • Minimum of 15 hours per week
    • Interest in affiliating with the laboratory for at least two years, leading to completion of a senior thesis
    • Strong commitment to research
    • Quick learner with the ability to gain independence
    • Attention to detail
    • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
