The Undergraduate Network for Research in the Humanities (UNRH) was an organization created at the Institute for Liberal Arts Digital Scholarship (IliADS) conference at Hamilton College in late July 2015 and through discussion of our individual experiences with digital humanities, the founders discovered a need for a unified undergraduate voice. Undergraduates from numerous institutions founded this organization with the goal of reimagining the role of undergraduates in humanities scholarship and research, particularly with a focus on the digital. Our mission is to promote, present, and encourage rigorous student research in the humanities.
The Undergraduate Network for Research in the Humanities (UNRH) is hosting their first conference on November 6th-8th, 2015 at Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina. We are NOW accepting proposals from undergraduates, and we encourage you to share this opportunity with your students involved in digital humanities research and projects. Please share the attached poster at your institution to help us spread the word. Please let us know if a) this conference is of interest to your institution and b) your institution can financially commit to sending students if selected to present.
Go to unrh.org to read more about our organization and click on the Submit tab to read the Call for Proposals. There is no application fee. Note that the application is ONLY available online (unrh.org/submit/) and is due September 20th. The selection process is competitive. We will accept research that is still in progress, but envision that most of the presentations will be about work completed over the summer or in the past school year. Please email me at emily.unrh@gmail.com if you have questions or would like to discuss UNRH further.
Sincerely,
UNRH Team Members
