The Social Action Lab is seeking undergraduate research assistants.
Interested in getting valuable research experience? Interested in learning about attitudes, persuasion, behavior, motivation, and more? Want to analyze social media? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, the Social Action Lab may be right for you! We are a social psychology lab that, under the leadership of Dr. Dolores Albarracín, explores ideas related to attitudes, persuasion, behavior, language, self-talk, motivation, HIV prevention, social media, policy, and much, much more. Being part of the Social Action Lab, you will receive training in running human subjects, obtain a deep knowledge of the different facets of social psychology, and gain research experience that will prepare you for both graduate school and the workforce.
We highly encourage you to apply if you are reliable, work hard, and can sign up for 9 hours a week. Furthermore, you must be able to attend the weekly research assistant meeting (which will count for 1 of the 9 hours!) on Tuesdays from 4-5 pm.
