blog posts Research Funding and Opportunities for STEM Undergraduates Feb 24, 2020 5:00 pm by ugresearch@illinois.edu Clare Booth Luce (CBL) Undergraduate Research Awards –The Clare Boothe Luce Program Undergraduate Research Awards aim to support women undergraduates seeking to study or teach science, mathematics, and/or engineering via the research pathway to graduate studies.This award supports women undergraduates in science (physics or chemistry), mathematics, and engineering to do research on campus for an entire year. Eight (8) scholars will be selected each year to receive up to $12K in research awards. We are currently accepting applications and the application deadline is on February 28, 2020. DaRin Butz Foundation Research Scholars – Women undergraduates in select engineering fields and computer science who are eligible are encouraged to apply for $5000 to do research on campus this summer 2020. We are also currently accepting applications and the application deadline is March 15, 2020. Illinois Scholars Undergraduate Research (ISUR) Program - Applications are now being accepted for the ISUR 2020-2021 cohort. Students interested in applying to the program find a research group on their own and ask a professor if they can join his/her research group. Research professors may also directly mentor undergraduate students. ISUR scholars and their mentors receive monetary awards for their participation in the program. Application deadline is on March 23, 2020.
