Engineering Open House has been a fixture on our campus for more than 100 years. It was officially established in 1920, and its success at drawing tens of thousands of students of all ages has inspired other colleges and departments to join in.
This year, our Open House events are virtual, but they still offer a chance to peek into what Illinois students are creating and researching, and a chance for everyone to engage and learn - whether you are an elementary student, a high school student, or a parent who's tagging along!
Look behind the scenes at the groundbreaking interdisciplinary research and world-class facilities at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology. Includes facility and lab tours, research demonstrations, science theater, an interview with founding director Ted Brown, as well as a live Beckman-themed escape room.
