A good night’s sleep may curb stress-induced junk food binges after work, according to a new study from Illinois. “Eating is sometimes used as an activity to relieve and regulate one’s negative mood, because individuals instinctually avoid aversive feelings and approach desirable feelings,” says study co-author Yihao Liu, a professor of labor and employment relations at Illinois.
