Email+ can be used effectively to send to listservs. Below are some rules to follow. Anything else will result in issues with both the appearance and functionality of the email.
Do not send an email to yourself and then forward it to a listserv!
This causes two major problems:
- When you send the email to your personal email (like Outlook) it alters the email code that was delivered. If you then forward the email to a listserv the appearance will be broken for most recipients.
- When you send the email to your personal email our vendor wraps the email for tracking purposes, as if tracking an individual. If you then forward the email to a listserv our vendor will consider your links a phishing attack if links are clicked 10 times within 10 minutes. Users will receive a ‘permission denied’ error when clicking on the links.
Enter the listserv in the appropriate input field on the General tab.
On the General tab there is a specific input field for listservs. Please enter any listserv into the input field labeled ‘Listservs and distribution groups’. Listservs not entered into this field will be considered phishing attacks if links are clicked 10 times within 10 minutes. Users will receive a ‘permission denied’ error when clicking on the links.
