Web Services offers several different report formats for you to view and evaluate form and survey submissions. There is no limit on the number of reports you can run. Note that reports are run per session, and every time you start (or restart) a form or survey, you create a new session.
Running a Report
- In the top right navigation menu, click Forms to access your My Forms page (the same process applies to surveys).
The Setup and Reports menu items under Forms and Surveys have been removed. There is now a single destination for both setup and report functionality.
- In the table, click the name of the form for which you want to view or run reports.
- Click the Reports tab. The reports page displays all of the form's sessions and associated reports:
- When you start (or restart) a form, you create a new live session. When you end a form, the session is marked complete. A single form can have many sessions.
- Sessions are differentiated by their start and stop dates and their ID numbers.
- The number of submissions displays for each session. If the name of a form has changed in the past, the old form name is included for the relevant sessions.
- Reports are run per session, and are therefore grouped by session.
- Click the Run a new report button for the session you're interested in.
- Assign a report name (if needed), choose your report type, and enter the report's date range. (The default date range is the entire form session.) You may also modify the data elements to include.
- Click Generate report. When you run a report, it is available to all form administrators and report viewers, not just yourself.
Viewing a Report
To view a report, click the Download icon [ ] .
Deleting a Report
To delete a report, click the Trash icon [ ] . When you delete a report, you are deleting it for everyone. You can also delete an entire session and all associated reports.
Deleting a session removes it and its associated reports permanently, for everyone. Deleting a form deletes all sessions and all reports, for everyone. Proceed with caution.
Old Reports
Next to the My Forms tab, you may notice a new tab: Old Reports. The Old Reports page lists reports you have access to but for which there is no associated form session (i.e., the session was deleted but the report wasn't). If you don't have any old reports, you will not see the new tab.
