  • Requesting a new Short URL Domain

    1. The short URL name must start with go.{somename}.illinois.edu. 
    2. The base name {somename}.illinois.edu must resolve to a web page or redirect to one. 
    3. Have your local IT support group create a C-Name record called go.abc.illinois.edu that points to the A-record go.illinois.edu (substitute your department name for 'abc').
    4. Once all of the above steps are completed, use the Contact Us form found at the bottom of every Webtools screen to request the new Short URL.
