HR has established procedures for transferring employees between departments. When followed correctly, updates typically take a few days to a week to propagate through all campus IT systems.

If issues persist after this time, it usually means a step was missed. The most common problems are:

• The employee’s home department was not set correctly in Banner.

• The employee does not have an active job assignment.

These issues can only be corrected by your local HR contact.

Please note that once corrections are made, it may take several days for updates to fully process across all systems.
