Biologist/Aquatic Ecologist/Malacologist, Missouri Office

EcoAnalysts, Inc. seeks to hire an entry-level Biologist/Aquatic Ecologist/Malacologist to be part of a successful team of aquatic scientists. In this position, you will be required to assist mussel, fish, and other aquatic projects out of the Missouri office. This position will include fieldwork, equipment maintenance, data entry, permit reporting, and could include proposal preparation and technical reporting depending on experience.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in biology, aquatic ecology, fisheries, or related field
Knowledge of Ohio and Mississippi River basin unionid fauna
Experience with spreadsheets, databases, word processing, graphics, and introductory statistics
Familiar with small and largescale study designs
Willingness to travel for extended jobs (typically between 5 and 14 days, occasionally more)
Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Desire to work effectively in a team environment
Effective and efficient verbal and written communication skills
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Ability to compile proposals, project schedules, and budgets
T&E species permitted and/or experience necessary to obtain permit(s)
Ability to obtain a class E chauffeur’s license
Dive certification (i.e., PADI or ADCI)
Knowledge of midwestern fish, invertebrates, and aquatic ecosystems
Boating experience (driving, trailering, loading, and unloading)
Experience using GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) hardware/software
Consulting experience
