Illinois Natural History Survey
We are seeking one motivated undergraduate student that is interested in gaining valuable experience in fisheries ecology research.
The student will assist with various laboratory and pond facility tasks involving fisheries ecology. The individual will be primarily involved in the state-wide ancient sport fish population demographics project, but may also have opportunities to assist graduate students with behavioral/physiological experiments in a pond setting.
The student will gain experience in fish identification, fish anatomy, estimation of body condition indices, and hard structure removal/processing. Additional tasks may include data entry and lab/pond maintenance.
Please attach a cv/resume or list of relevant experiences to your email, and provide a brief description of your interests. Prior lab experience is a plus, but not necessary depending on your skills and motivation.
