Application process
The Midwest Center of Excellence in Vector-Borne Disease (MCE-VBD) is currently recruiting students for summer research experiences for 2017 to work on projects related to tick-borne and mosquito- borne diseases in Illinois. We can offer full-time experiences for the duration of the summer, from 16 May 2017 through August 15, 2017. Two internships are available, with one involving working in the Chicago region and the other centered downstate in Urbana. The opportunity is open to full time students at the advanced undergraduate or graduate level. The work will include research assistance on field projects and identifying and organizing historical data on ticks and mosquitoes in Illinois.
