Fisheries Technician - Lake Michigan Biological Station

Salary: $12.50/hour
Qualifications:
Must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in fisheries, aquatic ecology, zoology, or closely related field. The candidate must be physically able to lift up to 30+ pounds (including from a depth of 60 feet), and work outside under adverse field conditions including, but not limited to, biting insects, heat, humidity, no shade and rain. Candidate must be able to work on a large body of water and be aware of possibility of motion sickness. Candidate must be able to work with chemical preservatives. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and be able to swim and be willing to work early mornings and weekends. Additional experience with marine craft and interacting with the public is a plus.
