Kate Green will speak about career paths in prairie and wetland restoration:

Kate Green is a Restoration Crew Leader with The Nature Conservancy in Indiana. She earned her degree in Integrative Biology with an emphasis in ecology and natural history from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has worked with the Lake County Forest Preserves as an Environmental Education Instructor, the Chicago Botanic Garden as an Aquatic Plant Maintenance Seasonal, and Pizzo and Associates as Restoration Technician and Restoration Crew Leader. As a Restoration Crew Leader with The Nature Conservancy, Kate currently works with a team to implement management activities in 700 acres of dune and swale habitat to remove beneficial use impairments to fish and wildlife in the Grand Calumet River Area of Concern. Kate will discuss her career path, the projects she has worked on, important professional certifications, and career opportunities available in the restoration ecology field.
