SIX MONTH TEMPORARY POSITION
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is inviting applications for the following position:
Position Title: Conservation Education Representative (2 Positions) Monthly Salary Range: $2464.00
Position Location: Starved Rock SP Rt 178, Utica, IL 61373 (LaSalle County)
Work Schedule: Thursday through Monday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, 1 hour Lunch, Tuesday/Wednesday-Off
NOTE: Schedule subject to change due to operational needs of the site.
Description of Duties
Under direction, develops, executes, and presents programs, activities and events to the general public, school groups, and special interest groups at Illinois State Parks, State Fish and Wildlife Areas, Conservation Areas, State Natural Areas, and State Recreation Areas.
Desirable Education, Training and Experience
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, with courses in journalism, English or public speaking; prefer two years professional experience in a public education and information program in a public or private agency; requires elementary knowledge of methods and techniques of disseminating information to the public. Requires possession of a valid driver’s license.
