Large Carnivore Specialist - Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources
The Department of Natural Resources is hiring a Carnivore Specialist in the Wildlife Biologist - Advanced classification within our Fish, Wildlife, and Parks Division. The work station for the Carnivore Specialist is Rhinelander (Oneida county), Madison (Dane County), Park Falls (Price county), or Spooner (Washburn county).
Salary
$35.00-$39.36/hr ($72,000-$81,868/annually)
Qualifications
Applicants must describe education, training, and/ or experience in the following Required Qualifications to be at least minimally qualified for this position:
1. Wildlife conservation and management or large carnivores, highlighting experience with wolf, bear, and cougars
2. Wildlife population survey techniques and methodologies
In addition to the Required Qualifications, Preferred Qualifications include:
1. Experience presenting technical information to non-technical audiences
2. Experience with hunting and trapping techniques
3. Experience with harvest season management and implementation
