POSITION SUMMARY
The Climate Irreplaceable Ecosystems intern will support us in creating maps and other key scientific outputs to advance the protection of the places the climate (and we) can't afford to lose. The position requires strong spatial analysis skills, basic knowledge of carbon storage in ecosystems, and the ability to communicate science to diverse audiences, including cross-culturally. The Intern will support Conservation International’s initiative on Climate Irreplaceable Ecosystems, which includes both foundational science and direct implementation through our Field Divisions. The goals of the position will be to create key scientific contributions, including maps, for products ranging from peer-reviewed studies to funding proposals to policy recommendations. We are seeking a self-starter who is passionate about climate change and conservation, and eager to learn.
Summer intern position. Approximate dates of May 15-August 15, somewhat flexible.
