    Summer Job at UIUC Energy Farm - University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign: Champaign, IL

    The Energy Farm at the University of Illinois is currently seeking summer hourly employees to assist with daily operations of the Energy Farm research facility for the 2020 Summer Term

    Job Duties

    • Field trial planting and maintenance
    • Research equipment installation and repair in lab and field settings
    • Assistance with day-to-day operations, including site maintenance and upkeep

    Requirements

    • Applicants must be willing and able to work in summer outdoor conditions.
    • Transportation to and from our field site is necessary on the South Farms.

    Skills

    Preference will be given to applicants who possess some or all of the following skills:

    • Basic farm equipment operation or equivalent equipment.
    • Machinery maintenance and repair
    • Basic metalworking/fabrication or other construction skills

    Required Experience:

    Successful applicants will receive on-the-job training, but some experience in a research farm setting is preferred.
