The Returning Home: Global Careers Series of workshops is designed for students who are interested in careers in their home country or abroad. In this session focused on India, Dr. Pankaj Desai will be interacting with our invited guests, Praful Mehrotra and Rakesh Venkatayogi, who would share insights about working in India and offer their perspectives on the transitions necessary for someone preparing to work in India after having studied and worked in the U.S.
Preparing for a Career in the US as an International Student

This online career development event is brought to you by the Career Services Council - International Student Career Connections Committee and focuses on helping international students help prepare for a career in the U.S. This event will allow students the opportunity to engage with employers and an immigration attorney and learn about international student hiring and work authorization processes.

This series spotlights a career field and helps students understand the field and its opportunities from the perspective of a working professional. A working professional who was an international student will be invited to share their experiences. The audience would also have the opportunity to interact with the professional and ask their questions.

Get Ready for Career Certificate - International Students (CC-I) and International Student Career Navigator - Spring 2023 Info Session (In-Person + Online)
This nationally awarded program helps international students become more competitive job/internship candidates. Through a 9-week series of workshops, peer mentoring, immersive experiences, and learning activities you will build a high level of career competence and learn practical information, skills, and strategies. You will receive direct feedback and build a supportive network of peers. Upon completion, you will be awarded a Career Certificate, a valuable credential to market your workplace readiness to potential employers. This program is open to all international students enrolled in in-person academic programs at UIUC.

You are invited to join the Global Career Network a forum for international student serving RSOs to advance the career development of the international student community at Illinois through collaboration, networking, and engagement through The Career Center. Students do not have to be affiliated with an RSO to join this meeting.

Dinner On Us at the Native American House
Dinner on Us is a biweekly one-hour evening program comprising scholar and practitioner-led workshops and a meal. Workshops either spotlight a specific campus resource or promote the inclusion of Indigenous perspectives about topics such as, but not limited to, the history of colonization, Indigenous-settler relationships, and Indigenous ways of knowing and being.
IGlobal is Looking for International Undergrad Interns

IGlobal session starts in 2 weeks and The College of Education International Programs are looking for some international undergrad interns to help with interpretation. Languages - Italian, Portuguese, and maybe Ukrainian, Chinese, and Arabic are needed.
Interns will partake in 1-hour long session on Thursdays at 8 am or Saturday at 8 am depending on the language needed.
