UIUC as the Most Preferred University by Company in China!
According to the 2017 report from Lockin China(络可英), the biggest company serving returning Chinese students in job hunting, UIUC is the most preferred university by companies in China. Many thanks to our alumni for their outstanding performance that builds a shining brand of graduates from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Let’s continue the glory Illini!

4 companies are coming to our campus in April, even more in the following month!
Are you interested in working at Baidu, Hisense, BYD, or Tencent? They are looking forward to recruiting young talents for a variety of functions. Baidu will hold an info session at Lincoln Hall room 1000, on April 3rd from 5:45 – 7:45 PM. Hisense will follow on April 7th at 6:30 PM at the same venue. BYD will visit on April 14th. More information regarding the Tencent visit will follow in upcoming newsletters. Graduate Research Assistant at Lemann Institute for Brazilian Studies (on campus)
The Lemann Institute for Brazilian Studies invites applicants for the position of Research Assistant for Academic Year 2017-2018 (20 hours per week for 15 weeks each semester). Appointments will be 50% and include a tuition waiver and a salary that meets or exceeds the University Guidelines. Candidates should be proficient in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
