2017 Spring Career Certificate – International Students (CC-I Program) Graduate!
CC-I program helps international students plan their career, develop job search skills, and enhance self-promotion and networking skills. In 2016, CC-I received the Services to International Students award, a national award presented by the National Career Development Association. In this Spring Semester, we have 41 graduated students and 13 volunteers supported this program. 2017 Summer CC-I program info session will happen in the final week of August and first week of September. Spanish/Mandarin/Portuguese Translator at The College of ACES (On campus)
The College of ACES is seeking translators in Spanish, Mandarin, and/or Portuguese for the 2017 Farm Progress Show. The Farm Progress show is held August 29-31 in Decatur. Show hours are: Tuesday, August 29: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm.; Wednesday, August 30: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Thursday, August 31: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Show needs translators to welcome and translate for groups at the international welcome tent which also serves as a hospitality tent for the thousands of international visitors each day. 2017 Summer Break Job Shadow Program (On campus)
Are you looking for opportunities to know more about some particular jobs? The Career Center organizes a job shadow event for you. Job shadow is one of the best methods to help you learn about the daily practice of the particular job. The Job Shadow program is a one-day commitment between May 16 – June 10, 2017. Entrepreneurship Forum
Tuesday to Wednesday, April 25-26th
The campus-wide Entrepreneurship Forum is held each year, highlighting the breadth of entrepreneurial activities across campus for faculty, students, and academic professionals. This event allows attendees to participate in panel discussions, listen to keynote speeches by prominent members of the University of Illinois community and observe the announcement of the Cozad New Venture Competition and Illinois Innovation Prize winners. The Entrepreneurship Forum is hosted by the Offices of the Provost and the Vice Chancellor for Research, and organized by the Entrepreneurship Roundtable. For further information, please check here.
