How International Students Can Spend the Winter Break? Encouraging Networking During Winter Break
This is the time when you can enjoy a hot chocolate drink as well as make the best out of the winter break with Informational Interviews or any forms of networking or skills-building activities for your career advancement. Besides, we suggest that you can reflect on your experiences this year and set goals for the year 2021. Be confident in setting goals for the coming year because you have survived this pandemic and it was a tough semester indeed!
Successful job seekers possess inherent talents and the need for networking whenever wherever they travel. So, if you are traveling don’t forget to expand your network for future professional success. Winter break is one of the best times to reach out and implement your skills for greater opportunities. Request-based Early Morning Career Coaching Appointments
Un Yeong Park, Assistant Director of The Career Center, has opened early morning (7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.) appointment slots for those students who are staying back in their home countries during the pandemic. To schedule a 30-minutes early morning appointment, please email Un Yeong at park351@illinois.edu. These appointments are not available from December 24 through January 1

Heads-up: Spring 2021 CC-I Info Sessions
Many international students have been asked how to apply to the Spring 2021 Career Certificate – International Students (CC-I) program. Before submitting your application, you must attend one of the five CC-I virtual information sessions that will happen in late January and early February. Please check the Handshake Event section to see their schedule. To apply to CC-I, you should be available either on Mondays or Tuesdays, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Illinois Part-Time Job Fair - Spring 2021 (Virtual)
