Major Career Event Schedule in the Spring 2018
It is approaching the end of the Fall 2017. Have you planned the following semester? We want to help you! By knowing these important dates earlier, you have more time to prepare yourself to either apply for national recognized CC-I program (Career Certificate-International Students) or perform your best in career fairs.
CC-I Application: Jan. 8th to Feb. 1st (Application page will be on The Career Center International Student page.)
International Illini Networking in Chicago: Feb. 17th (Application will be available on Jan. 16th on Handshake)
Business Career Fair: Jan. 31st to Feb. 1st
Engineering and Start-up Career Fair: Feb. 6th to Feb. 8th
Research Part Career Fair: Mar. 13th
Illini Career and Internship Fair: Apr. 10th
INTL Weekly Internships/ Jobs (the week of December 10th)
International Graduate Program at Standard Chartered Bank (Multiple cities, Global)
Standard Chartered Bank provides graduate program in 6 areas: transaction banking, commercial banking, retail banking, wealth management, financial market, and corporate and institutional banking. In each area, IG will have different rotation plans. You need to be able to work in the location without VISA issue. To learn more details, please check here for more information.
Human Resources Intern at FedEx (Collierville, TN)
This is a 10-week internship program. Students must have completed at least two years toward college degree. Undergraduate or graduate students in human resources related majors are welcomed. To learn more details, please check here for more information.

December 22 from 9:00-11:30 AM and 1:00-5:00 PM
Are you planning to travel outside of the US in this winter vacation? Don’t forget to get the travel Endorsement from ISSS. Bring your passport, visa, and your I-20 or DS-2019 to ISSS at the times listed, ISSS can sign your document for travel immediately. For other related VISA question, please contact ISSS.
Intensive ESL Conversation Course
Class in January 2nd -12th
Do you want to improve your English pronunciation or conversational skills? Are you in town during Winter Break? Sign up for Intensive ESL Conversation classes through the Intensive Foreign Language Instruction Program! Open to everyone. Not for credit. Taught by UIUC instructors. 2017 American Universities’ China Association (AUCA) Career Fair
Tuesday, December 19th, 12:30 PM – 5:30 PM, JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai at Tomorrow Square
This event is open to all the students regardless of majors, and is more geared toward students and recent graduates who are interested in a job or an internship in finance or business areas. The participating companies includes EY, KPMG, Connext, Bloomberg, DBS, CerditEase, and Standard Chartered. For students who cannot make it in person, the association is considering providing an online platform. People who register for the event will get notice about it. Student registration link is here.
