Last Info Session! Career Certificate- International Students (CC-I) in the Spring 2018
Your one last chance to get a ticket to participate in CC-I! Do you want to be a more competent internship/full-time job candidate? Are you interested in developing your networking and self-promotion skills? Apply to the Career Certificate – International Students (CC-I) program! CC-I is one of the signature programs of The Career Center for international students and has received a national award in 2016.
To apply to CC-I, you need to attend one of the info sessions at the Career Center Interview Suite, Room 213. Only 1 info session is left. The venue is located on the 2nd floor of the KAPLAN building by McDonald’s, on Green Street. Note that all undergraduate and Master’s international students who are available either Mondays or Tuesdays from 4:00-5:40 p.m. from February 12th through April 10th can apply.

LinkedIn and Job Search Resources for International Students
Friday, February 2th, 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM, The Career Center Interview Suite, Suite 213
This workshop will teach you how to use LinkedIn and job search resources including Myvisa.com. You will learn more about how to create an appealing LinkedIn profile and how to use LinkedIn for career exploration, networking, and informational interviews. The methods of identifying companies who are more friendly to international job seekers will also be included in this workshop. Please bring a laptop with you.

Career Services Paraprofessional at The Career Center, UIUC (On campus)
The Career Center is looking for talent! Career Service Paraprofessionals (CSPs) are essential to the work of The Career Center. The CSPs are a group of 20-25 highly talented undergraduate students who facilitate career-related workshops, resume and cover letter reviews, and employer informational sessions.
- Present career related workshops to classrooms and RSOs
- Review resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles
- Promote The Career Center at events and programs across campus
- Help your peers with professional development

Curricular Practical Training (CPT) Workshop

Do you plan to have an internship in the U.S.? You will need to apply CPT! Learn more about Curricular Practical Training (CPT), a work authorization for F1 international students who would like an off-campus internship in the U.S. International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) advisors will explain the process of getting your CPT approved. The Career Center will provide tips for your internship search.
Optional Practical Training (OPT) Workshop

Have you ever heard that international students may apply a work authorization before we need to face a lot of difficulties for H1B VISA? Learn more about Optional Practical Training (OPT), a work authorization for F1 international students who would like to find a post-graduation job in the U.S. ISSS advisors will explain the process of getting your OPT approved. The Career Center will answer your questions about OPT job searches.
