Spring 2018 Career Certificate-International Students (CC-I) Program Ceremony
CC-I program finished another successful journey with our international students! This semester we broke the completion rate record again! We are proud of our participants’ hard work and resilience to make them better candidates in job market. In addition, our small group facilitators have supported their group members’ career development and leveraged their own leadership. This learning experience is a must for international students at University of Illinois! If you missed out on the previous semester-long program, please stay tuned with this newsletter for the info session scheduled in Fall 2018.
Global Careers: Careers at UN and International Organizations
Thursday, April 26th, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, The Career Center Interview Suite Room 213
This event welcomes any students who are interested in careers in the United Nations, international non-profit, or intergovernmental organizations. A representative from the United Nations Recruiting Team will deliver the main presentation. Panelists who used to work, or are currently working in this field are invited to share their experiences. Detailed information on participating organizations and panelists will be updated on Handshake. This event is co-hosted by Area Study Centers and Illinois Model United Nations.
International Student Career Meetup: Power of Networking
Friday, April 20th, 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM, Illini Union Ballroom
The topic of the April meetup is the power of networking. Two seniors will share their successful networking stories. Open to all international students, but RSVP on Handshake is required due to a space limitation. For more information or signing up, please check Handshake.

Intensive Foreign Language Instruction Program (IFLIP)
An English learning program under School of Literature, Cultures, & Linguistics will help improve your English pronunciation or conversational skills. Are you in town in May? Sign up for ESL classes through the Intensive Foreign Language Instruction Program! Open to everyone. Not for credit, just for fun! Taught by UIUC instructors. This summer we offer the following courses: Pronunciation, English for Professionals, Grammar Review, and Advanced Conversation. Other foreign languages also offered. It is a career fair for talents who can speak English and Japanese.
