Free LinkedIn/Handshake Photo Booth by The Career Center

Take a fresh photo for LinkedIn/Handshake after your spring break! Do you want to have a professional photo on LinkedIn and Handshake? The Career Center will provide a no-cost professional headshot booth. A Chinese student group, Champaign Photography Association, will volunteer as photographers. RSVP is encouraged, but not mandatory. Check Handshake for more detail.
Immigration Attorney Presentation

Due to an inevitable reason we had to cancel this event this month, so, instead we have rescheduled our time and date as stated above. Three immigration attorneys from Madrid Crost Law Group, a Chicago-based law firm will come and speak on immigration and employment options after OPT and can answer questions about what options are available after the completion of F-1 or J-1 status in the U.S. This presentation will also cover information about current immigration law issues including on-going and potential changes in H1B sponsorships. Students may have one-to-one consultation opportunities on spot with one of the lawyer after the session.
The Career Center is Open During Spring Break

The Career Center is open during the Spring break as indicated above with reduced operational hours. Students on campus are most welcome to schedule for the 30 minutes career counseling or a 10 minutes walk-in session at CDA, while there is no class obligations, isn’t that great? The University of Illinois Arboretum maintains several gardens and wooded restorations areas and is offering fulltime paid summer 2019 internships. The internship entails planting the Hartley Selections Garden and performing maintenance activities throughout the grounds under the guidance of Arboretum staff. After initial planting activities are completed, the intern may work on a special project. This unique job position is posted on Handshake.
Education & Programs Intern (First Division Museum) at Robert R. McCormick Foundation, Wheaton, IL. Application deadline: by April 30
The First Division Museum is a world class museum dedicated to American military history and specifically the history of the Big Red One, the famed 1st Infantry Division of the U.S. Army. The museum has a wide variety of exhibits including life-size dioramas, Virtual Reality, and tanks found in the outdoor military park.

This month, Chang Hun (Douglass) Lee is invited as a guest. Chang Hun, an Accounting senior, is the CEO and Co-founder of OSD USA Inc., a Silicon Valley-based start-up that develops and sells health care software and hardware. KOTRA Michigan Job Fair 2019 for Korean Students

KOTRA, a South Korean governmental agency, is going to host a job fair targeting Korean international and Korean American students in the mid-west. More than 15 Korean companies that operate businesses in the mid-west will attend this fair.
Note: KOTRA will arrange transportation that will depart Champaign on April 24th and return on April 25th. You will get an introduction to transportation after you submit your resume. You are strongly recommended to upload your resume by the end of March.
