International Student Career Series (In-person): Crafting a Winning Resume and Cover Letter

Interested in applying for the Career Certificate - International Students (CC-I) program in Fall 2022?
The CC-I program is a unique and innovative nine-week program dedicated to the career and professional development of international students. This program has been offered by The Career Center since Fall 2012 and received the Services to International Students award, a national award presented by the National Career Development Association in 2016.
This program helps international students plan their career, develop job search skills, and enhance self-promotion and networking skills. This program is designed to enable participants to have a higher level of career competence confidence as they seek an internship or job. Participants completing all the program requirements receive the Career Certificate - International Students (CC-I). Any undergraduate and master's-level international student may apply for the CC-I program. The program application opens in August 2022 along with multiple info nights!

International Student Career Navigators
Interested in Career Certificate for International Students (CC-) Career Navigator Position?
Have you already completed the CC-I Program? Do you have strong communication skills? Do you want experience facilitating workshops?
Consider becoming an International Student Career Navigator. As a Navigator, you will be a peer advisor, facilitate CC-I programs, and have input into the design and implementation of career development programs.
Navigators for Fall 2022 do not need to have completed the CC-I program in the past.

Global Career Network (GCN) Fall 2022 Inaugural Meeting

Are you an international student? Do you want a voice on campus?
You are invited to join the Global Career Network a forum for international student serving RSOs to advance the career development of the international student community at Illinois through collaboration, networking, and engagement through The Career Center. The GCN meets monthly to develop career and professional development programming and enhance communication between campus partners.
Students do not have to be affiliated with an RSO to join this meeting.

This event connects international graduate students and visiting scholars with faculty advisers and campus research services. Spouses, partners, and children are welcome!
Global Campus Podcast - LAS & KSA Unite to Welcome New Korean Students
The International Programs Team in the College of LAS hosts a podcast, Our Global Campus: Engage the World Through Illinois.
This podcast features the international and intercultural experiences of students and professionals who dare to explore life on the other side of their cultural assumptions. Jiwon Lee, recently elected president of the Korean Student Association (KSA), collaborated with LAS International Programs to host a New Student Welcome & Networking event in summer 2022 at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.

iCU Intercultural Dialogue Series - Mid-Autumn Festival
Date/Time: September 7 | 5:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. Location: 1210 West Nevada Street (Asian American Cultural Center) Paid for by the Student Cultural Programming Fee (SCPF)
Join to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival! In the session, you will have a chance to taste different types of mooncakes, try origami arts, as well as make the snow-skin mooncakes by yourselves. Also, the story and the agricultural significance behind the festival will be shared and discussed during the event.
