Global Professional Spotlight Series

The Global Professional Spotlight Series of workshops focuses on the transition of an international student from being an international student to a professional in the U.S. The series is designed to help students understand the journey of other international students who have been absorbed into the U.S. workforce. In this edition, meet Vatsal Nahata who currently works at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as a Research Analyst. Nahata graduated from the Yale University with a Master of Arts degree in International and Development Economics in May 2020 and thereafter landed a role at the World Bank as a Consultant. Join us to understand the career growth trajectory of this young trailblazer!

New Student Programs Job Opportunity
Orientation Leader (OL): The OL position is designed to offer students the opportunity to implement orientation programming for new first year students and family members. OLs are expected to be knowledgeable about the University of Illinois and have a desire to help new students have a successful transition. OLs attend a Spring Leadership Training course to help prepare them to be student leaders for New Student Program events. All OLs will assist at various events such as International Student Orientation, Fall Orientation/Welcome Days and various other orientation programs. The hourly rate for the OL position is $14.
