Student Hourly Position
Salary: $16-18/hour (depends on qualifications); a minimum of 10 hours/week, no more than 20 hours/week
Availability: As soon as possible
Responsibilities and duties:
We are seeking several University of Illinois graduate students to assist with preparing digitally available GIS data and analyzing streamflow statistics regionalization at the Illinois State Water Survey. The primary duty will be to assist our staff to compile a geodatabase with geology, hydrogeology, land use/land cover, soil, and climate information. It is also expected that the student will prepare data for streamflow statistics regionalization. Detailed documentation is required.
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled as an graduate student at the University of Illinois
- Must be in one of the following majors: hydrology, earth sciences, or related fields
- Excellent with ArcGIS
- Excellent written communication skills
- Experience programing with MATLAB, R, or Python is preferred, but not required
