We are seeking an individual to provide support in an environmental lab.
Duties will include glassware cleaning, housekeeping, reagent and sample preparations. Candidate will be trained and required to support projects relating to environmental contaminants, with a focus on rare earth elements. This will include processing of aqueous and solid samples. Candidate will also perform ion chromatography and spectroscopic analysis of materials and will prepare data reports for review.
Qualifications: Individuals majoring in chemistry, environmental sciences, engineering or relevant discipline. Must be well-organized and pay meticulous attention to detail. Ability and willingness to work independently on assigned tasks. Good verbal and written communication skills.
Work up to 20 hours per week at $18 per hour. Our operating hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. Must be willing to work in 3, or more, hour increments.
