1. Illinois for Illinois (I4I) Scholarhsips are for everyone
You can apply for this scholarship! And you can apply for this scholarship! Everyone can apply for this scholarship! The I4I Scholarship is available to all Illinois undergraduates studying abroad during any term (Fall semester, Winter break, Spring semester, Spring break, Summer and calendar year). Scholarship awards range from $1000 to $6000 and are awarded in three different categories: General Merit, Financial Need, and Underrepresented.

2. Illinois International Programs (IIP) Scholarship could be for you
You have to love our giving alumni! IIP Scholarships are made available due to the generous donations from Illinois alumni and friends. Some of the scholarships have specific requirements for particular study abroad programs, while others are open for a variety of programs. Awards range from $1000 to $4000. 3. IIE Generation Study Abroad Travel Grants
Illini alumni aren’t the only generous donors. Due to the support of private donors, IIE Generation Study Abroad Travel Grants are available to students from all different backgrounds. The grants make it possible for students to partake in internships or learning experiences abroad. The Travel Grants can be used for travel to and from the country of study, as well as within the region, in order for students to make the most of their abroad experience. 4. Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship
We could all use a little extra money, especially when it comes to an expense like studying abroad. The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship is a grant program that allows students to study or intern abroad. “The Gilman Scholarship enables American students to gain proficiency in diverse languages and cultures, skills that are critically important to their academic and career development.” Visit the Gilman website to learn more about how to apply and read recipients’ stories about how The Gilman Scholarship impacted their study abroad experience.
