The University of Illinois offers literally hundreds of study abroad programs suited for every student interested in studying abroad. VU Amsterdam

VU Amsterdam, founded in 1880, offers an exchange program with the University of Illinois that allows for a more affordable study abroad experience as well as more classes that fulfill graduation requirements at Illinois. Keio University

Keio University, in Japan’s capital city of Tokyo, is the oldest university in the country. The university offers a variety of courses taught in English that can be transferred back to Illinois. Exchange students are encouraged to join one of the many clubs while studying on campus. In addition to activates on campus, there are all kinds of things to do in the cosmopolitan city of Tokyo; from rotating sushi bars to experiencing its modern and traditional culture. British Exchange Programs are the largest and oldest exchanges at Illinois. The University of Sheffield contributes to this sizable network of exchange programs. Named number one in the UK for student experience, the University of Sheffield offers students a variety of things to do to interact within the local community and rich art culture in the city of Sheffield. And with only a quick train ride away from the busy cities of London and Edinburgh, there are always opportunities for travel. New Zealand

If you’re looking to study at one of the world’s top institutions, look no further than the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. Whether you’re looking to join one of Canterbury’s 100 student clubs, go on an excursion on New Zealand’s South Island or take a class on earthquake engineering, there is something for everyone to experience.
