When membership of the committee has been determined, and all members have agreed to serve, the doctoral students must complete a Preliminary Exam Request Form via the Gradute College Student Portal https://go.grad.illinois.edu/student-portal. The request must be submitted at least three weeks in advance of the exam date, and the Research Director will be required to attest that the research proposal is ready for examination.
