Happy Spring from the University of Illinois campus! Our warmer temps, greening grass, and returning songbirds are energizing, and underscore the exciting pace of academic activity as we hit the midpoint of the semester.
In this issue of the Alumni Update newsletter, you'll read about several fantastic ways to engage with your Alma Mater over the next few months. Whether you are curious about advancing your career with an online master's or doctoral degree, want to expand your understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom, or simply grow your professional network of like-minded educators—the College of Education at Illinois is here to make it happen. If you have never joined us for an online or in-person gathering, I challenge you to carve out time in your schedule to attend one free event. It is certain to be time well spent.
In closing, some bittersweet news. This spring I am retiring from the university, so this is my final Alumni Update column. The best part of my career has been engaging with the passionate alumni and friends of the College who have supported our work. You have truly made a difference in the next generation of educators. Thank you for letting me play a small part in your great generosity.
