  • Beatrice Wolf Perry Travel Fund and Graduate Scholarship

Toward the end of the Spring 2020 semester, the Educational Psychology department learned it would be receiving a new, major gift from Beatrice Wolf Perry of Silver Spring, Maryland. By working with the College's Office of Advancement, Mrs. Perry has established two funds to support students in Educational Psychology. The first is the Beatrice Wolf Perry Fund for Student Travel. This fund will generate travel support for graduate students to attend conferences and present their research.

Second, Mrs. Perry established a Graduate Scholarship in Educational Psychology. This endowment directly supports students, intending to help relieve student debt while scholars pursue their degree programs and research.

  • 2020 Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign Spotlight: Danielle Ward

The Office of Advancement is asking all faculty and staff to consider making a gift to the College of Education fund of your choice.

Office Manager for the Dean's Office, Danielle Ward has been with the College for a little over two years and chooses to give to the College Scholarship Fund via pre-tax payroll deduction.

"It takes someone with a big heart to strive to be a teacher, and those big hearts greatly affect my children every day. Our kids’ teachers are with them more than their dad and I are, and if those teachers weren’t able to receive the education they did, and have the support they had while in school, they wouldn’t be there to help our children succeed every day. I hope that Education student(s) will benefit from my donations, sort of in an act of paying it forward."

“I give to the College so that our research, teaching, and public engagement programs are better supported. I am constantly amazed with the sense of community in the College, where brilliant scholars work side by side with staff members to create the best undergraduate and graduate experiences possible.”
