Illini Union Hotel
If you are looking for a place to stay while visiting your student on campus, the Illini Union Hotel offers you the full Fighting Illini experience. Located in the heart of campus, the hotel offers 74 rooms with several convenient and complimentary amenities such as cable TV, Wi-Fi access, parking, and a pass to premier campus recreation facilities. Illini Union Bookstore
Another excellent resource for families is the Illini Union Bookstore, the official bookstore of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Illini Union Tech Zone
The Illini Union Tech Zone is your on-campus computer store and an authorized Apple provider. When you’re ready to make a purchase, stop in the store when you visit campus, or shop today at techzone.illinois.edu. Pre-order your Apple devices, and if Dell is your preference, we have the full line available, and custom ordering options. Currently, students can get $100 rebate on any Dell computer over $499. Illini Union Rec Room and Restaurants
While visiting your student, you can also enjoy bowling, billiards, and various video games in the Illini Union Rec Room. Located on the lower level of the Illini Union, the Rec Room provides a comfortable atmosphere where families can relax with their student. If you happen to be looking for a bite to eat, you need only look outside the Rec Room where you can choose from Qdoba, Blaze Pizza, and Einstein Bros. Bagels. Also located on the first floor are Starbucks and the Quad Shop.
Illini Union Board
Additionally, the Illini Union offers year-round student programming throughout the building. The Illini Union Board leads the campus student programming effort and is made up of students planning events for students. These events include crafts, concerts, invited speakers, Illinites, free weekend movies, and the annual Spring Jam outdoor concert on the Quad.
