Program Overview: The program will begin in Pamplona, Spain at the University of Navarra and Nursing Summer School. This is a highlight of the program for many of the students. To learn more, you can visit this link to see the program from last year and a video of the activities: https://www.unav.edu/web/nursing-summer-school
The second week of the program we will do some health care observations and shadowing, as well as a medical Spanish course. We will leave Pamplona and take a train to Barcelona.
Once in Barcelona, we will take a day trip to Girona, a beautiful, ancient town that was used heavily in the Game of Thrones filming, with a lot of great history, food, and culture. In Barcelona, you will visit Gaudí’s famous Park Güell and Sagrada Familia, as well as visit a beautiful historic hospital, Sant Pau. You will have four additional days of clinical shadowing in a couple different hospitals in Barcelona, as well as a flamenco dance lesson, tapas tour, and walking tour of the historic Gothic Quarter.

Cost: $4,880
This includes your tuition, fees, lodging (shared apartments), in-country transportation, all cultural visits, and several of your meals (Lunches the first week, all breakfasts in Barcelona, plus at least three dinners). Your airfare will be an additional cost as we want students to be able to plan their own trip. Several students opted to stay in Europe after the trip, often having family or friends meet them to explore other parts of Spain or Europe.
