On October 2nd, Katie Murphy, MSN, RN, CCRN, CNRN will be joining Dean Collins as a part of the Dean's Lecture Series Mary Kelly Mullane Symposium. Katie Murphy is the President of the Massachusetts Nurses Association, the largest union and professional association of registered nurses and healthcare professionals in the state, and has been a strong advocate for protecting nurses and health care workers for her entire career.
The Student Nurses for Social Justice (SNSJ) is hosting a session for students to meet with Katie Murphy to discuss activism in nursing, the importance of collective bargaining, and unions as a vehicle of resistance. Our session will take place on Monday, October 2nd at 10AM in Room 105 at the College of Nursing. We would like to invite any interested students to participate in the discussion.
