In collaboration with the UIC Graduate College and the Illinois Board of Higher Education, Northern Illinois University is sponsoring the 6th Annual Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) Conference for Graduate Students of Color. The conference date is: Saturday, February 27, 2021, from 9 a.m-3 p.m. via Zoom. The conference theme is: Becoming, Belonging, and Thriving in Higher Education.

Dr. Monica Russel y Rodriquez, Assistant Provost for Diversity and Inclusion, Senior Lecturer of Latinx Studies and Anthropology at Northwestern University, is the keynote speaker. Her presentation title is: “Exclusion Works and What to do About It.” This much-needed conversation for graduate students and faculty is: scheduled from 1 p.m.-2:00 p.m. UIC faculty and staff are welcome to attend this presentation as well as other conference sessions.
