The Department of Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Illinois Chicago seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position in Clinical Psychology to begin August, 2022. The successful candidate will have a promising program of research, will contribute to teaching and student success at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and will demonstrate competency in incorporating principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the research and teaching contexts. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a research focus on psychopathology; health promotion and intervention; or dissemination and implementation science. However, all areas of research excellence will be considered. Given the department’s commitment to training students from historically underrepresented backgrounds, as well as UIC’s emphasis on serving the surrounding communities, we strongly encourage applications from candidates whose work incorporates and/or benefits populations that are traditionally underserved or understudied in Psychology.
Applicants must submit an online application to the UIC Job Board (https://jobs.uic.edu/job-board/job-details?jobID=149801&job=assistant-professor-clinical-psychology) and upload a cover letter, CV, research statement, and teaching statement. Applicants should also provide a diversity statement that discusses past and planned future contributions to diversity and inclusion (e.g., teaching, research, and service). In the online application there will be fields for you to enter the email addresses of three individuals who can provide letters of reference. Questions about the application process should be directed to Jessie Morris-Forristall at jmorri7@uic.edu.
Apply by October 15, 2021. Questions about the position should be directed to the search committee co-chairs, Dr. Erin Berenz (eberenz@uic.edu) and Dr. Michael Meinzer (mmeinzer@uic.edu).
