- Have you wanted to work more closely with the Centers for Cultural Understanding and Social Change here at UIC?
The UIC Heritage Garden is a hands-on internship program. Student interns work with faculty, staff, and community members to connect horticulture with environmental sustainability, cultural diversity, and social justice.
The program is seeking upcoming Sophomore and Junior undergraduate UIC students with a passion for gardening and connecting these issues, and ONE upcoming Sophomore and/or Junior undergraduate UIC student with photography, website maintenance, and social media skills for a photography and media internship position, to join the 2020 cohort.
Internship program dates
DACA and RISE Act eligible students are encouraged to apply. Please see website for additional instructions.
Program is 20 hours per week for 12 weeks. Interns may receive up to a $2420 stipend or tuition award.
Applications due: February 14th by 4pm to the UIC Latino Cultural Center office. People applying to the Photo/Media Internship position need to submit a portfolio when applying.
