Teresa La, Ed.M. ’22 EPOL, earned her online master’s degree in Human Resource Development. She is as an instructional designer in the healthcare industry, working with subject matter experts to develop eLearning courses and training programs through a variety of eLearning authoring tools. Teresa decided to apply to EPOL’s Human Resource Development program because she wanted to update her levels of knowledge and skill through formal training.
“As my online coursework at Illinois progressed, so did my responsibilities at work. I felt more confident and comfortable taking on complex tasks concerning the application of systematic processes used to improve workplace performance and individual learning. Now, I am equipped with all the current knowledge and tools needed to create impactful learning experiences for my organization, department, and individuals. I am happy to report that I have received a promotion and am now working as a senior instructional designer with managerial responsibilities. This would not have been possible without the online educational experience I had at Illinois.”
