Location: Springfield, IL - must be located within 1.5 hours of Springfield, Illinois to work onsite for 15 hours a week.
As the Health Program Development Intern, you will play a key role in creating a centralized platform for managing information, calendars, appointments, alerts, and workflow ticket tracking. Your efforts will help improve communication and efficiency within our team. We’re seeking a motivated intern to assist in developing and maintaining a SharePoint site that will streamline our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and organize a centralized information hub to better connect regional field staff conducting site visits with the central office team.
- Support health administrative operations for the Vaccines for Children program.
- Assist in designing, building, and maintaining a SharePoint site tailored for the Vaccines for Children program.
- Streamline information sharing by centralizing calendars, scheduling tools, and critical alerts.
- Create an intuitive dashboard to monitor and manage workflow tickets effectively.
- Structure and initialize the site layout to ensure ease of navigation and usability.
- Integrate key tools—calendars, documents, alerts, and workflows—into a unified platform for easier access.
- Enhance visibility of important updates by reducing reliance on cluttered communication channels like Outlook threads, SIREN alerts, and scattered shared drives.
- Present the finalized SharePoint site to stakeholders at the conclusion of the semester.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a graduate degree in Public Health, Health Administration and Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other collaborative platforms.
- Familiarity with SharePoint preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Located within 1.5 hours of Springfield, Illinois to work onsite for 15 hours a week.
Duration and Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship with flexible scheduling options to accommodate academic commitments. This is an onsite position in Springfield, Illinois for 15 hours a week. Academic credit may be available depending on your institution's guidelines.
