The RISE Internship Program is a collaborative initiative between the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the University of Illinois System, offering students invaluable hands-on experience and opportunities to collaborate closely with experts on projects that have a direct impact on communities across Illinois.

Student Applicants: we encourage you to include as much relevant information as possible on your resume to help demonstrate your skills, experience, and areas of expertise. Please be sure to list any statistical software, data analysis tools, or technical programs you are proficient in, along with the types of analyses you can perform independently. Examples may include data cleaning, descriptive statistics, regression analysis, survey analysis, or other quantitative or qualitative methods.
If you have experience with data visualization, dashboards, or reporting tools, please include those as well, along with any related software or platforms you have used. Examples may include Tableau, Power BI, R, SPSS, SAS, Python, Excel, or other relevant applications. Additionally, highlight any experience with research projects, public health data, presentations, community outreach, or technical writing that may relate to the internship responsibilities.
